We're building hospitality software for an AI-native world. At CrossBo, we're rethinking how hotels operate and engage with guests.
From AI concierges that understand guest needs to intelligent systems that help hotel teams make decisions and execute work, we're building products that move beyond dashboards and workflows.
We're looking for a Product Engineer who can think like a product manager, build like an engineer, and work fluently with AI.
Someone who doesn't stop at writing requirements or creating prototypes.
Someone who can identify a problem, design the experience, build the solution, and get it into the hands of real users.
What you'll own1. Shape AI product behaviour
- Design how AI agents understand intent, make decisions, invoke tools, handle failures, and escalate to humans.
- Build and iterate prompts, knowledge structures, and conversational experiences.
- Know when to use an LLM, deterministic logic, a workflow, or simply a button.
- Translate real-world operational problems into reliable AI-native experiences.
2. Go from idea to working code
- Own features from problem framing and requirements through implementation and delivery.
- Build directly in our codebase using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Submit production-quality PRs with appropriate tests, documentation, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Work with engineering on architecture, security, performance, and code reviews.
- Iterate quickly without compromising maintainability or product quality.
3. Make AI measurable and reliable
- Build evaluation datasets, rubrics, and test scenarios for AI agents.
- Evaluate accuracy, reliability, tool execution, and conversational quality.
- Analyse real conversations, identify failure patterns, and continuously improve agent behaviour.
- Measure success through actual user outcomes, not just model benchmarks.
4. Own outcomes, not just features
- Work directly with hotel teams to understand how they operate.
- Challenge assumptions and simplify unnecessarily complex workflows.
- Ship across guest-facing and hotel operations products.
- Track adoption, identify friction, and improve the product after launch.
Who we're looking forWe're less interested in your title and more interested in what you've actually built and shipped.
You should bring
- 4+ years of experience building or managing software products.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered applications to real users.
- Strong working knowledge of prompting, RAG, function calling, structured outputs, and agentic workflows.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools to build working software.
- Ability to write clear product specifications and translate them into functioning code.
- Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals, testing, APIs, and modern application architectures.
- Robust product intuition and attention to user experience.
- Comfort operating independently in an early-stage startup.
Bonus points if you've worked in hospitality, travel, enterprise SaaS, or built your own products. What makes this role different? You won't spend your days managing Jira boards or chasing engineering updates.
You won't be limited to writing PRDs and handing them over.
And you won't build AI features simply because AI is fashionable.
You'll have the ownership to decide what should exist, the tools to build it, and the responsibility to make it work in the real world.
If you're someone who has always felt that the distance between having a product idea and shipping it should be much shorter, we'd love to talk.
