Reports to: Product Manager / Operations Head

1. Job Purpose To prepare accurate product costing and manufacturing costing for all art & craft products to ensure profitable pricing, margin control, and cost optimization.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Product Costing

- Prepare detailed cost sheets for recent art & craft products based on design, material list, and buyer requirements
- Break down costs: Raw Material Wood, Metal, Resin, Fabric, Beads, Paints, Packaging, etc.
- Revise costing for size changes, design changes, and quantity variations
- Benchmark costing with similar products and competitor pricing

B. Manufacturing Costing

- Calculate labor cost per product based on process time: Carving, Painting, Assembly, Polishing, Packing
- Analyze process-wise cost: Handwork, Machine work, Finishing, QC
- Track actual vs budgeted cost for each order and report variances




- Identify cost-saving opportunities – material substitution, process efficiency, wastage reduction
- Prepare costing for samples, bulk orders, and re-orders

C. Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, and Accounts for costing inputs
- Maintain database of material rates, vendor rates, and historical costing
- Prepare costing MIS, margin analysis, and cost variance reports
- Support Sales/B2B team with pricing justification for buyers
- Ensure costing accuracy for ERP and audit purposes
