Job Summary

An experienced Senior Accountant is required to support a UK-based business in managing its day-to-day finance function. Work timings would be 12 PM to 9 PM.

The ideal candidate will act as an extension of the client's finance team, providing accurate financial information, proactive support and solid communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Sage Line 50 (Desktop App).

- Process sales and purchase transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.

- Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.

- Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.

- Assist with VAT returns and compliance-related activities.

- Monitor supplier payments and resolve finance-related queries.

- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.

- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and external accountants.





- Maintain finance trackers, SOPs and reporting schedules.

- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions.

Skills & Experience

- 3-4 years of experience in UK bookkeeping/accounting.

- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 (Desktop).

- Good understanding of UK VAT and finance processes.

- Experience preparing management accounts and cash flow reports.

- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Experience working with UK SMEs and exposure to finance process improvement and reporting.
