Private Equity Fund Controller – 10+ Years – Pune

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fund Controller to lead fund accounting, investor reporting, financial reporting, and fund operations for Private Equity and Private Credit funds. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in alternative asset management, NAV reviews, capital calls, distributions, fund structures, management fee calculations, and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

1. Lead fund accounting, NAV reviews, financial statements, audits, investor reporting, and regulatory reporting.
2. Manage capital calls, distributions, liquidity, treasury activities, fund expenses, and performance fee calculations.
3. Review complex fund structures, valuations, LPAs, side letters, and accounting treatments.
4. Coordinate with fund administrators and Group Finance to ensure accurate AUM/FUM and management fee reporting.
5. Drive operational excellence, risk management, process improvements, and transformation initiatives across fund accounting operations.

Requirements

1. CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
2. 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, or Alternative Asset Management.
3. Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, fund accounting, investor reporting, and fund operations.
4. Experience working with Asset Management firms; candidates from fund administrators may be considered if they are a strong fit.
5. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proven stakeholder management experience.
