Kandiga Consulting Services (KCS) is looking for Plastic Injection Mold Designer to join our agile team and embark on a rewarding career journey.As a Plastic Injection Mold Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of molds used in the plastic injection molding process This role requires expertise in CAD software, a deep understanding of mold design principles, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful production of high-quality plastic components Responsibilities: Mold Design:Create detailed 3D designs and 2D drawings of plastic injection molds using CAD software Consider factors such as part geometry, material flow, cooling, and ease of manufacturing during the design process Collaboration:Work closely with product designers, engineers,



and manufacturing teams to understand project requirements and specifications Collaborate with toolmakers and machinists to ensure the feasibility and practicality of mold designs Prototyping and Testing:Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate mold designs and ensure they meet quality standards Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to mold performance and make necessary adjustments Material Selection:Choose appropriate materials for molds based on project requirements, considering factors such as durability, temperature resistance, and cost-effectiveness Cost Estimation:Provide input on cost estimates for mold design and production Optimize designs to achieve a balance between performance and cost Documentation:Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and testing reports Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Continuous Improvement:Stay informed about the latest advancements in mold design, materials, and manufacturing technologies Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mold designs
