Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medicines, maintaining pharmacy stock, managing prescriptions, and ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the hospital pharmacy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines and medical supplies as per prescriptions.

- Receive, verify, arrange, and maintain medicines and pharmacy inventory.

- Check expiry dates, batch numbers, and stock availability regularly.

- Maintain proper records of medicine purchases, sales, and stock movements.

- Support billing, cash handling, and pharmacy software operations.

- Ensure proper storage of medicines according to prescribed storage conditions.

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding medicine availability.

- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the pharmacist about medicines requiring replenishment.

- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene within the pharmacy.

- Follow hospital policies,



pharmacy procedures, and applicable drug regulations.

- Provide medicines to patients or hospital departments under the supervision of the pharmacist.

Qualification:

- Minimum qualification: 12th standard or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), as applicable to the role.

- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is preferred.

- Basic computer knowledge and billing software skills are desirable.

Required Skills:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic knowledge of medicines and medical terminology.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.

- Ability to work in shifts and as part of a healthcare team.

- Good organizational skills and a patient-friendly attitude.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
