Biology Teacher (Middle & High School)

St. George’s College, Mussoorie, a premier all-boys boarding school established in 1853 and affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), invites applications from qualified and experienced educators for the position of Biology Teacher (Middle & High School).

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator with a strong command of Biology, a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to inspire scientific curiosity among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, design and deliver engaging Biology lessons for middle and high school students in accordance with the ICSE curriculum
- Conduct laboratory experiments, practical demonstrations and hands-on scientific activities
- Develop interactive lesson plans, teaching materials and age-appropriate learning resources
- Prepare students for school examinations, ICSE Board examinations and inter-school science competitions
- Integrate modern teaching methodologies, digital tools and real-world applications into classroom instruction
- Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to promote interdisciplinary learning
- Participate actively in school programmes, co-curricular activities and pastoral care duties
- Contribute to the overall development of students in a residential school environment,



including occasional responsibilities beyond regular academic hours

Qualifications & Skills

- Master’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany or Life Sciences from a recognised university
- B.Ed. is compulsory
- Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an ICSE-affiliated school
- Strong knowledge of Biology concepts, laboratory techniques and practical teaching methodologies
- Experience in preparing students for ICSE Board examinations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in using modern educational technology and digital teaching resources
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the academic development of the institution
- A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and inspiring young learners
- Willingness to participate in co-curricular, extracurricular and pastoral activities as part of a boarding school community
