Role Description The Owner role at festival Off Avignon is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all aspects of festival operations, strategy, and growth. This is a hybrid role based in Gurugram, with primary responsibilities performed on-site and some work-from-home flexibility. The Owner will define the festival’s vision, manage budgets, coordinate with artists, venues, sponsors, and partners, and ensure that all events are delivered on time and within quality standards.

Daily responsibilities include supervising program planning, approving marketing and communication initiatives, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves leading and mentoring the core team, resolving operational issues, monitoring performance metrics, and making data-informed decisions to enhance audience experience and financial sustainability.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in festival, event, or arts management, with a track record of leading complex projects or organizations.

- Strong financial and business management skills, including budgeting, forecasting,



and revenue optimization.

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with artists, sponsors, vendors, community organizations, and internal teams.

- Proficiency in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making in fast-paced, energetic environments.

- Effective leadership capabilities, including team management, delegation, and performance oversight.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

- Comfort with digital tools for project management, communication, ticketing, and data analysis.

- Knowledge of legal, safety, and compliance considerations related to public events and cultural festivals.

- Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Gurugram, manage flexible hours, and be available during peak festival periods.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, arts administration, management, or a related field; advanced education or equivalent experience is beneficial.
