About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager Projects (Plate Mill) to join our Projects team in Raigarh. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end project execution for Plate Mill projects, driving mechanical erection, equipment alignment, commissioning, CAPEX management, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams and EPC contractors.

Job Details

- Job Title: Manager – Projects (Plate Mill)
- Department: Projects – Plate Mill

- Experience Required: 8 to 15 years in project execution within Integrated Steel Plants, Plate Mills, or Hot Rolling Mills
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering (PMP certification is a plus)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end project execution for Plate Mill projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical erection, commissioning, trial runs, and final handover.
- Manage execution of Plate Mill equipment and utilities such as mill stands, roughing/finishing mills, reheating furnaces, descaling systems, cooling beds, shears, roll shop, and EOT cranes.
- Oversee project scope, master schedules, resource planning, CAPEX budgets, and delivery commitments using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Manage EPC contractors, OEMs,



consultants, and cross-functional teams (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Quality, Safety, and Commercial).
- Review engineering deliverables, equipment specs, BOQs, vendor documentation, and manage site technical queries.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

- Domain Experience: 8–15 years of hands-on experience in greenfield/brownfield mill projects, mechanical erection, alignment, and commissioning in integrated steel plants or heavy industrial projects.
- Project Management Skills: Robust grasp of CAPEX control, contract administration, Primavera P6/MS Project, and project risk management.
- Systems Exposure: Exposure to SAP (PS/MM/PM) and project MIS reporting.
