Sessions are highly interactive and student-centric, moving away from traditional lecture-based teaching. Codeyoung focuses on engaging young learners through projects and activities that make coding approachable and enjoyable for beginners and advanced students alike.

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Online Python Tutor working in US shift timings (2:30AM-7:30AM). The tutor will conduct live, online classes for school-age learners, introducing them to Python fundamentals and guiding them through coding exercises and projects.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans based on Codeyoung’s curriculum, explaining concepts in simple, age-appropriate language, and encouraging student participation through interactive activities. The tutor will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles. Additional tasks may include maintaining class records,



communicating with support staff on student performance, and ensuring a safe, inclusive online learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Python programming, including core concepts such as variables, control flow, functions, and basic data structures.
- Experience teaching or tutoring children or teens in STEM or coding subjects, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, with clear, patient, and engaging delivery.
- Comfort with online teaching tools and platforms, including video conferencing, screen sharing, and digital whiteboards.
- Reliable internet connection, a suitable computer setup, and readiness to work in US shift timings.
- Solid classroom management skills in an online setting and a student-centric teaching approach.
- Relevant academic background such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience with curriculum-based teaching or structured lesson planning is an advantage.
- A genuine interest in mentoring young learners and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
