Job Summary Prayaas Therapy and Child Development Centre is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Occupational Therapist to work with children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and other developmental challenges. The selected candidate will provide individualized, goal-oriented occupational therapy to improve children's functional independence, sensory regulation, fine motor skills, coordination, attention, and activities of daily living (ADLs). 3.

Key Responsibilities - Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify children's developmental needs.

- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings and functional goals.
- Provide occupational therapy to children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and other special needs.
- Work on sensory processing, sensory regulation, and motor planning.
- Improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, and visual-motor integration.
- Develop age-appropriate self-help and daily living skills, including dressing, feeding, grooming, and toileting, where appropriate.
- Work on sitting tolerance, attention, task engagement, and functional participation.
- Use play-based and activity-based therapeutic approaches.
- Support handwriting readiness, pre-writing skills, and functional classroom participation.
- Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, assessment records, and therapy data.
- Educate parents and caregivers about home-based activities and strategies.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, special educators, psychologists, physiotherapists,



and other professionals.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and parent counselling sessions.
- Monitor children's progress and modify therapy goals as needed.
- Maintain a safe, child-friendly, and supportive therapeutic environment. 4.

Eligibility

Criteria - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) from a recognized institution.
- Relevant registration with the applicable professional authority, wherever required.
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant clinical training and a willingness to learn may apply.
- Knowledge of autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory integration, and pediatric rehabilitation is desirable.
- Positive communication, documentation, teamwork, and parent-handling skills. 5.

Required Skills - Child-centred and play-based therapy skills.

- Understanding of sensory processing and motor development.
- Ability to develop individualized therapy goals.
- Patience, empathy, and positive behaviour-support skills.
- Effective communication with parents and multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to maintain professional and ethical standards. 6.

Experience - Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.

- Candidates with pediatric clinical experience will be preferred. 7.
