Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life, and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.

Role Overview

We are looking for an NPD Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring product and process quality during New Product Development activities. The role involves preparation of IQC and Inline QC Plans, quality feedback during APQP B/C samples, dimensional analysis, PIST activities, and process handover to MQA and IQC.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare IQC Plans and Inline QC Plans for new products and components.
- Provide quality feedback and inspection inputs for B/C sample parts during APQP.
- Conduct dimensional analysis of NPD and B/C sample parts against drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain PIST reports for NPD and B/C sample parts.
- Identify critical characteristics, inspection requirements, gauges, and acceptance criteria for new components.
- Support NPD, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and MSA activities from a quality perspective.
- Identify and communicate quality issues during sample development, trials, and validation.
- Coordinate with NPD, Engineering, Supplier Quality, MQA, IQC, and Production to resolve quality issues.




- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of NPD quality records.
- Conduct effective process handover to MQA and IQC, including drawings, specifications, inspection methods, quality checkpoints, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure quality requirements are effectively transferred from NPD to regular production.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection, engineering drawings, GD&T;, and dimensional analysis.
- Hands-on knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Good understanding of APQP, PPAP, PIST, PFMEA, Control Plan, and MSA.
- Ability to interpret drawings and identify critical product characteristics.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of quality documentation and inspection standards.
- Good communication skills for effective cross-functional coordination.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Automotive / EV / Auto Ancillary manufacturing is preferred.
- Exposure to NPD, APQP, PPAP, and product validation activities.
- Experience in dimensional inspection and preparation of inspection plans is preferred.

Education
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering or related field.

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality / NPD Quality / Incoming Quality / Manufacturing Quality.

Location
- Near Chakan, Pune, India

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
