We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to manage,

maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the organization's IT infrastructure, including more than 300

desktops and laptops, Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, Fortinet firewall,

centralized Wi-Fi, endpoint security, Google Workspace, and biometric attendance systems.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of IT systems, providing technical support to end users, maintaining network connectivity,

implementing security policies, managing IT assets, and supporting backup and disaster recovery activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network administration, firewall management, Windows troubleshooting, basic Linux administration, endpoint security, and enterprise IT support.

Job Responsibilities

1. Network Administration – LAN/WAN

● Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, routing, switching, and related network infrastructure.

● Configure and troubleshoot IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, gateways,

and network connectivity.

● Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, connectivity issues, and network device health.

● Manage centralized Wi-Fi infrastructure, including access points, wireless connectivity,

authentication, and troubleshooting.

● Support network availability, redundancy, and high-availability configurations.

● Maintain network diagrams, IP address records, VLAN details, and network configuration documentation.

1. Firewall and Network Security

● Administer and monitor Fortinet firewall infrastructure, including firewall policies, security rules, NAT, VPN connectivity, and access controls.

● Monitor firewall logs, security alerts, blocked traffic, and suspicious network activity.

● Maintain firewall configurations and support HA health checks, failover testing, and configuration backups.

● Implement approved network security policies and restrict unauthorized access to internal systems.

● Coordinate firmware upgrades, security patches, and configuration changes with appropriate planning and approvals.

● Troubleshoot firewall-related connectivity issues and coordinate with vendors or senior technical teams for complex incidents.

1. Windows and Linux System Administration

● Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and operating systems. ● Perform operating system installation, upgrades, patching, driver updates, and routine maintenance.

● Provide basic Linux system administration, including user management, permissions,

service monitoring, log review, and troubleshooting.

● Configure IP addresses, email clients, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

● Support operating system recovery, system performance optimization, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.

● Maintain standard system configurations and deployment procedures for desktops and laptops.

1. Endpoint Security and Antivirus Management

● Monitor and manage the centralized antivirus or endpoint protection management console. ● Verify endpoint security agent installation, update status, policy compliance, and protection status.

● Investigate malware alerts, suspicious activities, and endpoint security incidents.





● Ensure operating systems and approved applications receive security updates and patches.

● Support endpoint access controls, device hardening, and implementation of IT security policies.

● Escalate suspected security breaches and follow the organization's incident response procedures.

1. Biometric Systems and IT Infrastructure Support

● Maintain connectivity and availability of eSSL biometric attendance machines. ● Troubleshoot device connectivity, IP configuration, attendance synchronization, and related application issues.

● Coordinate with HR, application owners, and service providers to resolve attendance-

system issues.

● Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, network devices, and other IT peripherals.

● Coordinate with hardware, ISP, firewall, and software vendors for technical support and issue resolution.

1. Backup, High Availability and Disaster Recovery

● Monitor scheduled backups and verify successful completion according to established procedures. ● Support restoration testing, system recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

● Maintain backup records, recovery procedures, and relevant infrastructure documentation.

● Monitor the health of critical network and IT infrastructure components.

● Support continuity of IT services by following approved incident management and recovery procedures.

1. IT Asset and User Support Management

● Maintain an accurate inventory of desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, software licenses, and IT peripherals.

● Manage deployment, configuration, allocation, replacement, and retirement of IT assets.

● Provide technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, email,

connectivity, and user access issues.

● Record, prioritize, track, and resolve incidents and service requests within defined timelines.

● Maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides,

and configuration records.

● Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT access and asset management perspective.

1. Monitoring, Documentation and Compliance

● Monitor the health, availability, and performance of critical IT systems and network infrastructure. ● Maintain firewall change records, asset registers, network diagrams, backup records,

and security-related documentation.

● Follow change management procedures before implementing changes to critical infrastructure.

● Assist with IT audits, access reviews, security assessments, and compliance requirements.

● Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to infrastructure reliability,

performance, and security.

Job Requirements

● Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop support, and laptop administration.

● Practical understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, VLANs, routing,

and switching.

● Hands-on exposure to Fortinet firewalls and firewall troubleshooting.

● Understanding of firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, network security, and high-availability concepts.





● Experience with centralized antivirus or endpoint protection solutions.

● Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and basic server administration.

● Experience with centralized Wi-Fi infrastructure and wireless troubleshooting.

● Familiarity with Google Workspace administration and account management.

● Understanding of operating system patch management, endpoint hardening, backup,

and disaster recovery.

● Good troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications and Experience

● Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science,

Networking, or a related field.

● Preferably 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or enterprise IT support.

● Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE/FCP, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.

● Experience supporting a medium-sized or large IT workplace is preferred.

● Ability to work independently on routine infrastructure operations and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.

Note: The role requires hands-on IT infrastructure and network administration experience, with an emphasis on operational reliability, security, and end-user support.
