Job Purpose

Lead the Medical Coding team to ensure coding accuracy, productivity, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining compliance with US healthcare coding guidelines and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the Medical Coding team and achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
- Review coding records and ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
- Conduct coding audits, identify errors, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor productivity, quality scores, TAT, and SLA adherence.
- Analyse coding denials and support process improvement initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Coordinate with QA, operations, and clients to resolve coding-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and applicable regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in Medical Coding,



including at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of US healthcare coding guidelines and insurance workflows.
- Experience in coding audits, denial analysis, and performance management.
- Multi-specialty coding experience preferred, particularly in E&M;, Radiology, Surgery, and OB-GYN.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and medical coding tools.

- SLA compliance and error reduction.
- Team performance and training effectiveness.
