- Apply knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes as required for billing accuracy.
- Review insurance payments against contractual terms and applicable payer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and document billing activities in the client’s practice management system or electronic health record (EHR).
- Follow US healthcare billing procedures and applicable Medicare and Medicaid requirements.
- Research payer rules and updates to support accurate billing practices.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality requirements, and established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in both charge entry and demographic (demo) entry is mandatory.
- Practical experience in US medical billing for healthcare providers, including physician practices, clinics, hospitals, or medical groups.

Candidates with general revenue cycle management (RCM) experience alone, or experience limited to AR follow-ups, denials, payment posting, or coding without direct charge entry and demographic entry, will not be considered suitable for this role.
