Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Specialist is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting the design, development, and optimization of robotic kitchen equipment and mechanical subsystems. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing mechanical designs, performing engineering calculations, evaluating materials and components, and help preparing CAD models (We have CAD engineers , support is needed) and technical drawings.

The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to refine product concepts,



troubleshoot mechanical issues, and improve reliability, safety, and manufacturability. The role also involves documenting engineering decisions, contributing to prototype testing plans, and providing input on cost-effective design improvements aligned with the company’s product roadmap.

Qualifications

- Strong Mechanical Engineering foundation, including knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronic systems is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of food processing or kitchen equipment design, hygiene standards, and safety requirements is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving product and project needs.

Note - Candidates in and around Pune will be preferred. The candidate should have experience with Mech Design and manufacturing involving sheet metal etc..
