Role Description: This is a full time, on-site Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer role based in Chennai. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for residential, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include preparing and checking MEP drawings, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

The role involves close coordination with architects, structural engineers, site teams, and contractors to resolve technical issues, support construction activities, and maintain quality and safety standards.



The MEP Engineer will also participate in site inspections, progress reviews, and value engineering to optimise performance, cost, and sustainability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess 3 to 8 years of strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and implementation skills, including familiarity with building services systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing system design, installation supervision, and troubleshooting for various building typologies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering related to building services, including power distribution, lighting, and safety systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in MEP Coordination, ensuring integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services with architectural and structural designs.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in building construction projects, preferably in residential, commercial, or institutional sectors; prior site-based experience is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for MEP systems.
- Proficiency with MEP design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and basic project documentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities, with effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
