Role Purpose The CEO is responsible for leading and growing the FMCG business in India, driving profitable revenue growth, market leadership, operational excellence, and organizational capability. The role oversees the entire value chain, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, people, innovation, legal, regulatory affairs and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

- Define and execute the India business strategy aligned with shareholder objectives.
- Drive sustainable revenue and profit growth across brands and product categories.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, acquisitions, partnerships, and new product launches.
- Build long-term competitive advantage through innovation and consumer-centric strategies.

Commercial Leadership

- Lead the entire Sales and Marketing organizations including Trade Marketing, E-commerce, General and Modern Trade as well as the Away from Home Business.
- Strengthen market share and brand equity across channels.
- Drive category growth, pricing strategies, route-to-market effectiveness, and customer excellence.
- Develop strategic relationships with key accounts, distributors, corporate clients, and e-commerce platforms.

Operational Excellence

- Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and quality management.
- Ensure product availability while optimizing costs and working capital.
- Drive productivity and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Lead digital transformation and automation programs.

Financial Performance

- Deliver revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and return-on-investment targets.
- Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and risk management.
- Optimize resource allocation and capital expenditure investments.

Consumer & Brand Leadership





- Champion a consumer-first culture.
- Drive innovation pipelines and product development.
- Build strong brands and customer loyalty.
- Monitor changing consumer trends and market dynamics.

People & Culture

- Build and lead a high-performance leadership team.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability building.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.

Governance & Compliance

- Oversee legal and regulatory concerns.
- Ensure compliance with Indian legal and regulatory requirements and corporate policies.

- Manage enterprise risks and business continuity planning.

External Stakeholder Management

- Represent the company with regulators, industry associations, investors, media, and key business partners.
- Build relationships with government bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Act as the public face of the organization in India.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline.
- MBA from a reputed institution preferred.

Experience

- At least 15 years of successful track record growing, managing and driving FMCG businesses in India; with deep working experience in tissue and personal care products preferred.
- Proven experience managing full P&L; responsibilities (Top line to bottom line).
- Solid track record in driving growth, turnaround, transformation and market expansion.
- Possess excellent communication and engagement skills
- Demonstrated good leadership and management skills
