About the Role

Mangal Electrical Industries Ltd. is looking for an experienced and strategic purchase professional to lead procurement operations for its Transformers Division. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the transformer manufacturing industry and a robust understanding of electrical and transformer-related materials, vendor development, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for the Transformers Division.
- Manage sourcing and purchasing of transformer-specific materials, including CRGO steel, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, tap changers, radiators, and other electrical components.
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEMs.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and long-term supply agreements.
- Identify reliable vendors and develop alternate sources to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor material availability, inventory levels, lead times, and procurement costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Quality, PPC, Stores, and Finance teams.




- Ensure timely material availability in line with production plans and delivery commitments.
- Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and procurement efficiency.
- Manage vendor performance, purchase budgets, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Eligibility Criteria

- 15–20 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Mandatory: Experience in the Transformer Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong knowledge of transformer raw materials, components, and electrical procurement.
- Proven expertise in vendor development, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, analytical, and team management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical, or a relevant qualification.
