Position: Maintenance Engineer

Experience: 2–3 Years in Cable Manufacturing / Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

Job Purpose To ensure smooth and reliable operation of cable manufacturing machinery and plant utilities by carrying out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, minimizing machine downtime and improving equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of cable manufacturing machines.
- Troubleshoot and maintain extrusion machines, cabling machines, bunching machines, wire drawing machines and related equipment, as applicable.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, pumps, heaters, sensors, drives, control panels, PLCs and electrical systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime and quick restoration of equipment.
- Monitor and maintain extruder temperature control systems, cooling systems, heaters and associated electrical components.
- Carry out maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in production machinery.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Maintain records of machine breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts and machine history.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeated or major machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Production Department for planned maintenance and machine availability.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts, tools and consumables required for maintenance.




- Support installation, commissioning and trial runs of new machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers for specialized maintenance and machine servicing.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvement, energy saving and breakdown reduction.

Equipment / Systems Knowledge Candidate should have knowledge of maintenance of:

- Extrusion Machines
- Wire Drawing Machines
- Bunching Machines
- Electrical Control Panels
- PLC & HMI Systems
- Sensors & Temperature Controllers
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
- Compressors
- Plant Electrical & Utility Equipment

Required Skills

- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices
- Good understanding of PLC, VFD, motors and control panels
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance and Breakdown Maintenance
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance documentation
- Good communication and team coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure during critical breakdowns

Working Requirements

- Willingness to work in shift operations.
- Availability during critical machine breakdowns.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant setting.
- Strict adherence to company safety procedures and work instructions.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
