Key Responsibilities System Administration

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).

- Perform regular system updates, patching, and kernel upgrades.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, directories, and system policies.

Server Infrastructure Management

- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability across environments.

- Configure and maintain web servers, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, and other system services.

- Manage storage solutions, RAID configurations, and file systems (ext4, xfs, LVM).

Security Compliance

- Implement and maintain system hardening (firewalls, SELinux/AppArmor, auditing).

- Manage security patches and vulnerability remediation.

- Monitor logs for unusual activity and respond to security incidents.

Networking

- Configure network interfaces, routing,



firewalls (iptables/nftables), and load balancers.

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues at OS and network levels.

Automation Scripting

- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible.

- Create automated tasks for backups, deployments, system checks, and monitoring.

Backup Recovery

- Configure and manage backup solutions, snapshots, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Ensure data integrity and recoverability.

Monitoring Troubleshooting

- Use tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana for system monitoring.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and performance issues.
