Lead Engineer: Data and AI

Bengaluru (Electronic City) | Full-time | 6-8 years

Altimetrik is hiring a Lead Engineer, Data and AI, to lead delivery of data pipelines and platform features, working closely with Staff Engineers and managing Senior Engineers. (2 openings)

What you’ll do

- Lead end-to-end delivery of data pipeline features across Redshift, Kafka/RedPanda and S3
- Own technical delivery for platform components, including ingestion, transformation and orchestration
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers on architecture and technical standards
- Build and maintain DBT transformation models and pipeline observability
- Contribute to AWS Bedrock and Claude-based AI workflow integrations
- Implement PCI DSS-compliant data handling within pipelines
- Line manage and coach Senior Engineers, and take part in code reviews, design reviews and technical documentation





What we’re looking for

- 6-8 years in data engineering or AI platform engineering
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS: EKS/ECS, S3, Lambda and EC2
- Proficiency with Redshift and DBT (Bronze-Silver-Gold transformation layer experience preferred)
- Experience with SQL Server CDC-based ingestion pipelines
- Experience with streaming platforms: Kafka, Confluent or RedPanda
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines: Bitbucket, Argo and Octopus
- Growing exposure to GenAI tooling: AWS Bedrock and Claude APIs
- PCI DSS awareness and data privacy best practices
- Some people management or tech lead experience
