You’ll be a member of: Product Validation, Testing CoC.About the Team and the Role The Product Validation, Testing CoC team at Ather is responsible for validating component and vehicle reliability, executing rigorous testing protocols, and ensuring strict operational readiness across testing assets and facilities.

This role is for a Lab Shift In-charge focused on managing vibration lab operations, supervising component-level vibration testing on shakers and thermal chambers, ensuring test execution integrity, and overseeing shift routines and sample handling.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute component-level vibration reliability tests on shaker rigs and thermal chambers while strictly adhering to vibration and thermal profiles.

- Verify test setups, mechanical/electrical connections, fixtures, control strategies, sensor mountings, and torque specifications before launching tests.

- Design vibration test fixtures in SOLIDWORKS and convert 3D CAD models into 2D technical fabrication drawings.

- Instrument accelerometers and strain gauges on DUTs to record and analyze vibration response measurement data using data loggers.

- Prepare comprehensive vibration test protocols, compile post-test observations, draft test reports, and provide execution data to support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

- Deliver clear shift changeover reports,



track long-lead/non-started tests, and log monthly DVPs and completed tests.

- Maintain 5S standards across rigs and chambers while ensuring high-voltage and general laboratory safety compliance.

- Coordinate with maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns, monitor calibration tracking, raise PR/PO requests for consumables, and manage contract shift rosters.

Experience and Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a testing lab or road load measurements, with exposure to vibration testing and willingness to work in 6-day rotational shifts.

Must Have Competencies
- Hands-on operation of vibration shaker rigs, control sensor strategies, data loggers, and thermal chambers for battery testing.

- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical drawing generation using SOLIDWORKS for test fixture development.

- Instrumentation and data acquisition experience with accelerometers, strain gauges, and vibration response measurement systems.

- Strong knowledge of reliability testing standards, profile configurations, torque specifications, and test setup verification.





Good to Have Competencies
- Experience in executing active battery test setups and high-voltage safety protocols in lab environments.

- Practical understanding of road load data acquisition and multi-axis vibration testing workflows.

- Ability to troubleshoot testing equipment anomalies and support structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.

- Familiarity with laboratory consumable procurement processes, PR/PO tracking, and calibration management systems.
