Salary Range: Rs 18,000-25,000 per month (Based on skills and Experience)

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Lab Assistant / Technical Operator for a pilot-scale Food Processing & Product Development Lab equipped with small scale machinery across dairy, grain, fruits & vegetables, bakery, and packaging domains, to oversee day-to-day lab operations, operate and maintain small-scale processing equipment, assist in product standardization trials, and train grassroots entrepreneurs and rural community members.

Key Responsibilities

- Machinery Operation & Maintenance (Core Role)

- Hands-on operation of pilot/small-scale equipment across multiple food streams like Fruits & Vegetables, Dairy/Milk, Grains & Bakery and Packaging & Branding
- Carry out routine servicing, minor mechanical troubleshooting, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of machinery. Execute and record Preventive Maintenance.
- Develop SOPs for Equipment and Machineries. Maintain and adhere to machine operation protocols, logbooks, and hygiene/safety standards (GMP/GHP).

2. Lab & R&D; Standardization Support
- Assist startups, and innovators in recipe trials, pilot batch runs, and product development and standardization.
- Maintain accurate records of raw material intake, pilot batch runs, production yield,



and inventory.
- Keep the lab strictly compliant with FSSAI hygiene guidelines and laboratory safety norms.

3. Community Engagement & Training
- Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on machine training for rural youth, farmers, women’s self-help groups (SHGs), and local micro-entrepreneurs.
- Simplify technical concepts into easily understandable language (Marathi/Hindi) to boost confidence among rural beneficiaries.
- Travel (20-25%) to nearby villages, clusters, or demonstration sites for technology dissemination, survey visits, or community camps.

- Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / Degree in Food Technology / Food Engineering / Food Processing, OR Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in operating small-scale food processing equipment, food manufacturing plants, or incubation/training labs.
- Fluent in Marathi OR Hindi (essential for community interaction) and English (Preferred).
