Position: Junior Fabric Merchandiser

Job Summary The Junior Fabric Merchandiser will support the merchandising team in fabric sourcing, order execution, vendor coordination, production follow-up, documentation, and timely delivery of customer orders. The role requires close coordination with production, quality, stores, and dispatch departments according to the directors to ensure smooth execution from order confirmation to shipment. Junior fabric merchandisers typically assist with sampling, vendor follow-up, documentation, production tracking, and cross-functional coordination in textile manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

- Assist in processing customer orders from confirmation to dispatch.
- Prepare and maintain order sheets, purchase records, and merchandising documents.
- Update daily order status and follow-up reports.
- Monitor production timelines and report delays.

Fabric Coordination
- Coordinate with greige fabric suppliers and processing units.
- Follow up for dyeing, printing, finishing, and fabric delivery.
- Maintain fabric swatch and sample records.
- Verify fabric specifications such as GSM, width, composition, and shade.

Vendor Coordination
- Follow up with vendors regarding deliveries and commitments.
- Compare quotations received from vendors.
- Maintain vendor performance records.
- Assist in sourcing recent fabric suppliers.

Production Follow-up
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, and Stores departments.
- Ensure timely issue of fabric to production.
- Monitor production progress against delivery schedules.
- Escalate any production delays to the Senior Merchandiser.

Documentation & MIS
- Maintain Time & Action (T&A;) sheets.




- Prepare daily merchandising MIS reports.
- Update ERP/Excel with order progress.
- Maintain buyer communication records.
- File all merchandising documents systematically.

Quality Coordination
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspections.
- Ensure fabric approvals before production.
- Record quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Follow up on rejected fabric and replacement material.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics.
- Understanding of textile processing (Dyeing, Printing & Finishing).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up ability.
- MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Basic Formulas).
- Basic ERP knowledge (preferred).
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Time management.
- Teamwork.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.
- candidates with 0–3 years of experience in textile merchandising.

Experience
- 0–3 years in Fabric Merchandising or the Textile Industry.

Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
