About the Role

Junior Backend Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer who can contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable backend systems and APIs.

Key expectations

- Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of backend application development.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot would be preferred.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of relational databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of data structures, API design, authentication, caching, and database concepts.
- Ability to debug production issues and write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, microservices, messaging systems, Docker, or Kubernetes would be an advantage.
- Ability to work closely with senior engineers and gradually take independent ownership of services/modules.
