Job Title: Junior Accountant

1. Job Summary:-

VTR Industries is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to support the Accounts & Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, good numerical skills, and proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

2. Key Responsibilities:-

- Maintain daily accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Record and verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining ledgers, cash books, and bank books.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Perform bank reconciliation and resolve basic discrepancies.
- Assist in GST-related documentation, data entry, and return preparation.
- Maintain proper records of vendor bills, customer payments, and outstanding balances.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Assist with petty cash management and expense tracking.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial records for audit purposes.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Educational Qualifications:-

- B.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Freshers may apply; candidates with relevant accounting experience will be preferred.

4. Required Skills:-

- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime or other accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of GST and TDS procedures.
- Valuable numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

5. Experience:-

- 0–1 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization will be an added advantage.

6. Key Performance Expectations:-

- Accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries.
- Proper maintenance of financial documents and records.
- Timely reconciliation of accounts and identification of discrepancies.
- Compliance with internal accounting procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
- Timely submission of reports and completion of assigned tasks.

7. Working Conditions:-

The candidate will work in the Accounts & Finance Department and coordinate with other departments as required to ensure smooth financial and administrative operations.
