Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant

Summary

We are currently looking for an accomplished Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant to become a key member of our organization. The successful applicant will bring profound knowledge of ABAP development, with a specialized focus on the HANA landscape, encompassing CDS Views, AMDP, and the RAP framework. In this position, you will be instrumental in designing, constructing, optimizing, and sustaining SAP S/4HANA solutions.

Acting as a technical leader, you will direct the development team to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable applications that generate significant business value.

Location: Hazira, Surat (Gujarat)

Experience: 7-12 years

Responsibilities

- Lead the complete lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions, from initial design through development to final deployment.

- Develop and optimize ABAP applications for SAP HANA databases to achieve peak performance and scalability.

- Design, build, and maintain CDS Views, SAP HANA views, and AMDP procedures to meet complex data modeling requirements.

- Implement and manage SAP OData services to ensure smooth integrations and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

- Perform development activities using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

- Oversee the migration of existing ABAP code, conduct custom-code remediation, and apply necessary compatibility fixes for SAP S/4HANA.

- Conduct thorough code reviews, testing procedures, debugging sessions, and performance tuning initiatives.

- Provide technical mentorship and strategic direction to junior ABAP developers to promote professional growth.





- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical outcomes with business objectives.

- Follow Agile delivery processes and actively contribute to SAP S/4HANA support activities.

- Investigate features within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and recommend technical improvements.

Requirements

- Demonstrated senior-level experience in building solutions with SAP ABAP on the HANA platform.

- Hands-on proficiency with CDS Views, AMDP, and the RAP framework.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles within the ABAP environment.

- Relevant experience in SAP S/4HANA development, system support, and custom-code remediation.

- Competence in SAP OData services and HANA-specific development methodologies.

- Advanced skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing system performance.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in creating SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.

- Knowledge of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

- History of successful collaboration within Agile project teams.

- Experience in technical leadership, including code reviews and mentoring staff.

Work Requirements

- Candidates must be prepared to work on-site at the specified client location in Hazira, Surat, Gujarat.

- Working hours and public holidays will correspond with the client's official schedule.

- Work schedules involve rotating Saturdays.
