Product Owner & Business Analyst Payments-JL-5/6

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with business teams and key stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into clear product requirements.
2. Own and prioritise the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, dependencies, risks, and delivery priorities.
3. Define the product vision and develop and maintain the product roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
4. Collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Architects, QA Leads, Business Analysts, and other delivery stakeholders to refine requirements and gather functional and solution design details.
5. Create and refine epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring stories are sufficiently detailed and ready for development.
6. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
7. Be well versed with Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence for backlog management, requirement traceability, documentation, and collaboration.
8. Support development teams throughout implementation by providing requirement clarifications and facilitating timely business decisions.

Work closely with QA and test teams on test scope, solution validation, defect clarification, and end-to-end testing.
10. Coordinate with business stakeholders for UAT, review outcomes, obtain required sign-offs, and support release readiness.

Should have worked on high value and low value payment’s scheme
1. Should have knowledge of end to end payment processing
2. Working knowledge of MT and MX (ISO 20022) message format
3. Exposure to work with Agile methodology
4. Should support development and testing phase
5. Should participate in UAT test phase

Preferred Skills / Experience:

- Strong experience as a Product Owner in banking/payments or a related financial-services domain.
- Good understanding of end-to-end payment processing; exposure to high-value, low-value, real-time, or cross-border payments is preferred.
- Familiarity with payment messaging and ISO 20022 would be an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business, technology, QA, and delivery teams in an Agile workplace
