Talasha has been mandated to hire a Head of Finance for a luxury Indian ethnic wear and textile brand launched by a leading fashion designer of the country. They have their own manufacturing, have grown exponentially since their launch 5 years ago & are amongst the top luxury wedding-wear brands of India. This is a leadership role that will own & scale the end to end of Finance function including controllership & business finance and will work directly with the Founder

Responsibilities -

- Financial Planning & Analysis- Prepare periodic budgets and forecasts, update them as necessary & implement financial strategies to achieve organisation's financial goals
- Accounting & Book keeping -Lead & manage the accounting department, ensure an productive book keeping process & lead the ERP Migration. Oversee monthly closure of accounts, reconcile supplier & customer accounts, manage payroll & statutory compliances
- Taxation & Compliance - Handle income tax, GST, TDS & all relevant statutory compliances - including calculations, filing of returns, etc, coordinate with tax authorities for assessments & appeals, etc
- Costing & Financial Reporting -Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, create MIS, conduct regular variance analysis for incurred costs with standard & benchmark costs
- Strategic Financial Management-Partner with leadership on financial reporting, business performance tracking, and strategic decision-making. Track & analyse the unit economics, profitability metrics & working capital for the organisation & analyse areas of cost inefficiency & discrepancies.



Evaluate investment opportunities and support in due diligence processes
- Fund Raising -Lead fund raising efforts through mediums of equity & structured debt, liase with venture capitalists, bankers & investment firms and serve as the primary finance POC for all external stakeholders
- Inventory Management - Ensure regular stock taking inventory is done, variance is studied & the correct valuation technique is applied to recording the closing stock
- Audit & Finalisation of Books - Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and GST audits, finalizing financial statements
- Treasury Management - Oversee cash flows, fund allocation, credit lines and ensure maintenance of optimal working capital
- Cross functional collaboration -Work with departmental heads across the business in supporting their financial activities, guiding them through financial process, and interpreting the progress
- Process improvements- Lead process improvement & automation and finance SOPs to build scalable systems and controls.

Good To Have -

- 10-15 years experience in leading startup finance - both Controllership (accounts, taxation, compliances) & Business Finance (Mis, profitability analysis, fund raising)
- Chartered Accountant Preferred
- Experience in heading finance for manufacturing organisations
- Experience setting up and scaling finance function for 0-1 stage startups

Location - Noida (6 days work from office)

CTC - Rs.40-50 LPA (Basis last drawn & including variable)
