Summary

As the Head of Digital Systems, you will lead a global software development and sustaining engineering organization comprising over 100 professionals across Germany and India. This role demands a visionary and people-centric leader who can build and mentor high-performing teams in software development, integration, verification, quality assurance, and security. You will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance team efficiency, foster innovation, and ensure high-quality project delivery through strong collaboration and engagement

Key Responsibilities

- Build, lead and mentor a dynamic team in software development, integration, verification, quality assurance and security to ensure project deliveries with quality through good collaboration and high engagement.

- Build an integrated, skilled and flexible team across sites in Germany and India.

- Strategize to build a strong team through strong people management and enhance team efficiency and career pathing to grow.

- Foster a strong team culture of innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.

- Ensure effective communication across teams and senior leadership, aligning team goals with overall company objectives.

- Report functionally to the Global Head of Software Development in Germany

Required Skills .





- Hands-on experience with enterprise web/cloud applications using Java stack, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, Blazor, .NET, and various database systems

- Familiarity with on-prem infrastructure, containerization, and Azure Cloud

- Knowledge of test automation, security practices, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), and quality assurance

- Deep understanding of modern enterprise-class software technologies and practices for both on-prem and cloud solutions

- Expertise in managing end-to-end software development projects, including sustaining engineering

- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills

- Expertise in partner management, effort estimations, resource planning, and skill matrix development

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on scalability and performance optimization

- Proven ability to manage complex team dynamics and drive employee engagement.

- Experience working within an Agile environment, supporting Scrum Masters and development teams

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an intercultural environment

- Ability to drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture

- Strong people management skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional growth. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating test findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
