Job Summary The Finishing Godown Executive is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, identification, inventory control, and dispatch of finished fabrics. The role ensures accurate stock management, proper fabric handling, FIFO implementation, timely dispatch, and coordination with the Finishing, Quality, Dispatch, and Sales teams to achieve on-time customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

- Inward Movement & Verification: Receive finished fabric rolls or goods from the processing and folding sections. Physically verify quantities, lot numbers, shade matches, and roll lengths against internal transfer slips.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain a flawless, real-time computerised record of all available finished stock. Conduct routine physical stock audits to ensure the physical inventory perfectly matches the system records.
- Storage & Space Optimisation: Organise the godown layout systematically by quality, lot number, design, and buyer. Ensure fabrics are stored safely to prevent any damage from dust, moisture, or stains.
- Packaging Supervision: Oversee the final packaging process to ensure it complies strictly with Maruti Exim’s standards or specific buyer requirements (e.g., proper poly-packing, gunny bags, strapping, and detailed outer labelling).




- Dispatch Planning & Documentation: Coordinate with the sales, merchandising, and logistics teams to prioritise daily dispatches. Generate accurate packing lists, delivery challans, and gate passes.
- Labour & Team Management: Lead and delegate tasks effectively to godown helpers, loaders, and packers to maintain high productivity during peak dispatch hours.
- Technical Skills:
- Robust proficiency in textile ERP systems, or inventory management software.
- Excellent practical command of Microsoft Excel for maintaining dispatch, stock, and pending-order sheets.
- Clear understanding of fabric units (meters, cut sizes, kilograms, and total roll counts).

Educational Qualification

- Graduate (B.Com, B.Sc., BA, or equivalent)
- Diploma in Textile / Supply Chain / Warehouse Management (Preferred)

Experience

- 2–6 years in warehouse, finished goods godown, textile processing, or inventory management.
- Experience in textile fabric finishing and dispatch operations is preferred.
- 2 to 6 years of stable experience managing a finished fabric godown, specifically within Surat's textile markets or an export house setup

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Knowledge of textile finishing and finished fabric handling.
- Experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹36,000.00 - ₹44,000.00 per month
