Role Description The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and safe functioning of resort facilities, guest accommodations, and common areas. This full-time, on-site role is based at Celebrity Resort Hyderabad and involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and carrying out preventive maintenance tasks. The technician will respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensure timely resolution of problems, and coordinate with external vendors when specialized services are required.

The role also includes maintaining tools and equipment, adhering to safety and compliance standards, and keeping accurate records of maintenance work.



The technician works closely with the operations and housekeeping teams to support smooth resort operations and a high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repair, with the ability to diagnose and fix common maintenance issues.
- Experience with preventive maintenance routines for HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and general facility infrastructure.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, safety instructions, and simple technical drawings or diagrams.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, safe use of tools and equipment, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks effectively.
- Physically able to perform hands-on work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prior experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in hospitality, facilities management, or residential/commercial properties is preferred.
- Basic computer or mobile device skills for logging work orders, updating maintenance records, and communicating with supervisors.
- Relevant vocational training, technical certification, or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance is an advantage.
