Primary Skills: Java 8 & Java EE/J2EE, Team/Tech Lead, Spring/MVC & Hibernate/JPA, jQuery, Bootstrap & DataTables

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer & Team Lead with 8+ years of experience to lead a small development team while remaining hands-on across the full technology stack supporting enterprise applications. The role requires strong Java 8 / Java EE expertise, front-end development capabilities, enterprise application architecture knowledge, and technical leadership skills.

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), regulated industries, manufacturing, life sciences, or formula-based product environments is highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities Technical Leadership

- Lead and mentor a small team of developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Own technical delivery across the full stack, including Java 8 / Java EE backend and jQuery / Bootstrap / DataTables front end.
- Drive technical decisions while balancing modernization with enterprise system stability.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, and QA teams to plan work, break down requirements, and estimate effort.
- Ensure appropriate security and data-handling practices for customer, product, and regulatory information.

Hands-On Development

- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java 8 and Java EE/J2EE.
- Work with MVC-based architectures involving Servlets, EJBs, DAOs, DTOs, and persistence layers.
- Develop database integrations using JPA,



Hibernate, JDBC, and SQL.
- Build and support RESTful web services using Jersey / JAX-RS.
- Support applications deployed on WildFly, JBoss, Apache TomEE, or similar application servers.
- Work with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DocumentDB, Neo4j, and other data platforms.
- Maintain and enhance web interfaces using jQuery, Bootstrap, and DataTables.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and performance issues across the technology stack.

Qualifications & Required Skills

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java 8 and Java EE/J2EE application development.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, or providing technical direction to development teams.
- Robust understanding of MVC architecture and enterprise application design.
- Hands-on experience with EJBs, Servlets, JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, and DAO/DTO patterns.
- Strong front-end development experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, and DataTables.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with Java application servers such as WildFly, JBoss, TomEE, or similar.
- Experience with Maven and/or ANT, Git, and GitHub.




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex technical and business domains.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with team leadership responsibilities.

- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage, cosmetics, or manufacturing.
- Experience with formula, recipe, ingredient, product specification, or regulatory data.
- Exposure to AWS RDS, DocumentDB, Neo4j, or OpenText Discovery Server/BRS.
- Experience integrating Java applications with C#/.NET services.
- Experience with BIRT Reports.
- Experience working with applications hosted on AWS.
- Experience maintaining or modernizing mature enterprise Java applications.
