Lathe Operation : Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other turning equipment to cut, shape, and fabricate metal or other materials.

Tool Selection : Select and mount cutting tools, tool holders, attachments, and fixtures on machines.

Workpiece Handling : Material Preparation : Load and secure workpieces in the machine, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to safety procedures.

Quality Control : Quality Checks : Inspect finished workpieces for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and gauges.

Adjustments : Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain product quality.

Maintenance :



Machine Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

Safety and Compliance : Safety Protocols : Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Documentation : Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and production data.

Team Collaboration : Collaboration : Work closely with team members, including machinists, supervisors, and engineers, to achieve production goals.
