Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Sponge Iron Division. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, breakdown maintenance, inspection, and preventive maintenance of plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.

Attend mechanical maintenance requirements in the Sponge Iron Division.

Work on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, fans, rollers, crushers and other mechanical equipment.

Dismantle, repair, align and assemble mechanical components.

Identify mechanical faults and take corrective action.

Assist in equipment installation and commissioning activities.

Maintain proper housekeeping and follow plant safety procedures.

Coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor/Engineer during maintenance activities.

Ensure minimum equipment downtime through timely maintenance.

Requirements

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical preferred.

2+ years of relevant experience in steel,



sponge iron, manufacturing or heavy industry.

Positive knowledge of mechanical tools and maintenance practices.

Ability to work in a plant environment and during breakdown/emergency maintenance.

Safety-conscious and disciplined.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Welder for our Sponge Iron Division. The candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, repair and maintenance activities related to plant machinery and structures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform ARC/MIG welding as required for plant maintenance and fabrication work.

Carry out welding repairs on mechanical equipment, structures, chutes, conveyors and pipelines.

Perform fabrication and modification work as instructed by the Mechanical Supervisor/Engineer.

Repair cracks, joints and damaged components through appropriate welding methods.

Assist mechanical fitters during maintenance and breakdown activities.

Read basic fabrication drawings and measurements where required.

Ensure proper welding quality and finishing.

Follow all safety procedures, including hot-work and PPE requirements.

Maintain welding machines, tools and work area properly.

Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities in the Sponge Iron Division.

Requirements

ITI in Welder/Fabrication preferred.

2+ years of relevant experience in steel, sponge iron, manufacturing or heavy industry.

Good knowledge of welding, cutting and basic fabrication work.

Ability to work at height and in a plant maintenance environment when required.

Knowledge of industrial safety and hot-work procedures.
