Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Fire Safety Officer to join our team at Dr. Humayun Speciality Hospital. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining fire safety standards, ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and protecting patients, staff, and visitors from fire-related hazards.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, smoke detectors, hydrants, sprinklers, and other fire safety equipment.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections and identify potential fire hazards throughout the hospital premises.
- Monitor compliance with applicable fire safety regulations and hospital safety policies.
- Organize fire safety training, fire drills, and emergency evacuation exercises for hospital staff.
- Ensure that emergency exits, staircases, fire escape routes, and access to firefighting equipment remain transparent and accessible.
- Maintain fire safety inspection records,



equipment maintenance logs, training records, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with the Engineering, Maintenance, Security, Nursing, and Quality departments regarding fire safety requirements.
- Respond promptly to fire emergencies and coordinate evacuation and emergency response procedures.
- Support fire safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Educate employees on fire prevention, emergency response, and safe handling of fire hazards.

Qualification & Skills
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Fire & Safety.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of fire prevention, firefighting equipment, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable fire safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Good communication, coordination, and emergency management skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training and maintain accurate documentation.
