Responsibilities

- GST Registration and Filing: Manage the company's GST registration status and handle the submission of monthly or quarterly returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- GST Documentation and Verification: Scrutinize and validate GST invoices, oversee the management of Input Tax Credits (ITC), and ensure all activities align with current GST mandates.
- GST Reconciliation: Align GST return data with the company's general ledger to identify and resolve any variances.
- GST Audit Support: Facilitate the preparation for and execution of audits conducted by tax authorities.
- TDS Calculation and Deduction: Accurately compute and withhold Tax Deducted at Source from various payments, such as salaries, contractor fees, and qualified charges, according to prevailing rates.
- TDS Return Filing and Certification: Submit TDS returns (such as Forms 24Q and 26Q) promptly and issue necessary certificates (Forms 16 and 16A) to employees and vendors.
- TDS Reconciliation: Match deducted TDS amounts against deposited taxes and collaborate with the finance department to address any inconsistencies.
- TDS Regulatory Compliance: Uphold all TDS regulations,



ensuring timely remittance of taxes and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

- Educational Background: A degree in Commerce (B.Com, M.Com) or an MBA in Finance/Accounting is required.
- Professional Certifications: Holding qualifications such as CA Inter, ICWA Inter, or CMA is considered a significant asset.
- Experience Level: Possess between 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in taxation, with a specific focus on GST and TDS.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate practical experience with accounting software and GST online portals.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a robust understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance frameworks, including the ability to track and implement recent tax amendments.
- Software Skills: Exhibit high proficiency in MS Excel and accounting tools like Tally or Zoho Books.
- Core Competencies: Possess a solid grasp of accounting principles and reconciliation methodologies.
- Work Ethic: Capable of working autonomously and delivering results within strict deadlines.
