About the role
is an Upper Layer NBFC focused on housing finance and co-lending. We are building our corporate communications function from the ground up. This role supports day-to-day media engagement, content production and monitoring, and suits someone who wants to grow with a recent function in a regulated financial services business.
What you will do
Media relations

- Maintain and update media contact databases by publication, beat and journalist
- Support media interactions, interviews and briefings with background notes, talking points and logistics
- Track coverage and prepare daily monitoring summaries and periodic sentiment and share-of-voice reports
Content and writing
- Draft press releases, media statements, quarterly results communication, fact sheets, FAQs and holding statements
- Support leadership content such as op-eds, bylined articles, speaking notes and internal announcements
- Proofread and fact-check all outgoing copy against approved company data and disclosures
Agency and internal coordination
- Work with the retained PR agency on drafts, approvals and monitoring, and follow up to close loops
- Coordinate with Legal, Investor Relations, HR and Marketing for input and clearances before external release
Reporting and operations
- Maintain the communications calendar, approval trackers and coverage archive
- Compile monthly dashboards against the communications KPI framework
- Support internal communications, employee updates and event communication when needed
What we are looking for
- 2 to 3 years of prior work with a PR agency or in a corporate communications function, ideally in BFSI, fintech or a listed company
- Hands-on experience handling media queries, drafting releases and statements, and coordinating approvals with Legal, IR or other stakeholders
- Working knowledge of the Indian business media landscape and how journalists and editors source and verify stories
- Excellent written English with clean, accurate, jargon-free copy; Hindi is an advantage
- Working understanding of financial concepts (results, ratings, regulatory announcements, NBFC and housing finance basics)
- Sound judgment on what to escalate and what to hold, with respect for confidentiality and listed-company disclosure norms
- Strong attention to detail, ownership of follow-through, and comfort working to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with media monitoring tools is a plus
Education
Graduate or postgraduate in Mass Communication, Public Relations, English, Commerce or Management. A finance background is a plus.
Good to have
- Experience with results-season communication for a listed entity
- Exposure to BFSI, NBFC or housing finance clients at an agency
- Basic familiarity with social media publishing and analytics
