Job Title: ETL Tester

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes.

- Validate data extraction from multiple sources, transformations, and loading into target systems.

- Perform data quality checks and validate data completeness and accuracy.

- Collaborate with ETL developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.

- Identify and document defects, track them to resolution, and perform regression testing.

- Monitor ETL processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test strategy, test cases, and test results.

- Work with automation tools to automate test cases and improve testing efficiency.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on ETL design and development.

Required Skills and Tools:

- ETL Tools: Proficiency with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or Talend.

- Database Management: Robust knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL. Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.





- Data Quality Tools: Experience with data quality and profiling tools like Informatica Data Quality, Talend Data Quality, or Trifacta.

- Scripting Languages: Proficiency in SQL and understanding of Python or Shell scripting for automating testing processes.

- Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration.

- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like JIRA for bug tracking and project management, and Confluence for documentation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- years of experience in ETL testing or data quality assurance.

- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a mandatory.
