- Conduct daily inspections of the residence and grounds.
- Ensure the estate remains guest-ready at all times.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure appropriate staffing and supervision across the operation.
- Coordinate external vendors, contractors and specialist service providers.

Food & Beverage

- Oversee all food and beverage operations within the residence.
- Work closely with the Chef to plan daily meals, menus, family preferences and special occasions.
- Ensure restaurant-level standards of food presentation, table setup and service.
- Supervise butlers and service staff.
- Maintain appropriate pantry, beverage and food inventories.
- Establish strong purchasing, receiving and storage controls.
- Develop personalised dining experiences for the family and their guests.

- Support the development of house-made products using produce from the estate, including preserves, pickles, chutneys and other signature items.

Housekeeping & Residence Presentation

- Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and public spaces are maintained to impeccable standards.
- Establish luxury housekeeping, laundry and linen standards.
- Ensure flowers, amenities and decorative elements are refreshed appropriately.
- Maintain inventories of linen, crockery, glassware, silverware, amenities and household supplies.
- Ensure the residence is prepared according to family and guest movements.

Guest & Family Experience

- Understand and maintain detailed preferences of family members and regular guests.
- Personally oversee important arrivals, private dinners, celebrations and family gatherings.
- Anticipate requirements rather than waiting for requests.
- Ensure privacy and discretion at all times.
- Create a service culture that is attentive and polished without becoming intrusive.

Landscaping & Estate Upkeep

- Coordinate with the landscaping and horticulture teams for maintenance of lawns, gardens, orchards, seasonal planting and flowers.
- Conduct regular inspections of external areas.
- Coordinate upkeep of recreational facilities including swimming pool, gym and squash facilities.
- Ensure the temple and other special areas within the estate are maintained with appropriate care and sensitivity.

Engineering & Maintenance

- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are established and followed.

- Coordinate maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automation, pool and other building systems.
- Maintain AMC and vendor schedules.
- Ensure maintenance issues are identified and resolved proactively rather than after breakdowns.

Security & Access

- Coordinate with the security team to maintain appropriate 24/7 security.
- Ensure visitor and contractor access protocols are followed.
- Maintain guest/visitor records and access procedures while respecting the family’s privacy.

Administration & Cost Control

- Prepare monthly operating budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Maintain purchasing and inventory controls.
- Review vendor bills and operating expenses.
- Maintain staff attendance, rosters and leave records.
- Provide regular operational updates and reports to management/ownership.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have:

- Robust understanding of luxury service standards, table service, guest handling and F&B; operations.
- Ability to manage housekeeping and other operational departments beyond their original area of specialisation.
- Strong administrative, budgeting and inventory-control capabilities.
