Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimation & Costing Engineer with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience exclusively in residential construction, high-rise buildings, and multi-storey residential projects.

The candidate must have strong expertise in electrical BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, tender estimation, material costing, and vendor quotation evaluation for large-scale residential construction projects.

Important: Candidates with experience in other industries, such as industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or commercial-only projects, will not be considered. Relevant experience must be exclusively in residential and high-rise/multi-storey building construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed electrical estimates and costing for high-rise and multi-storey residential building projects
2. Study and interpret electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), working drawings, and technical specifications.
3. Prepare detailed electrical BOQs and quantity take-offs for complete residential projects.
4. Estimate quantities and costs for:

- LT panels, distribution boards (DBs), and switchgear
- Electrical cables, wires, conduits, and cable trays
- Internal and external lighting systems
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Electrical wiring,



switches, sockets, and accessories
- Common-area, basement, podium, and external electrical works

1. Prepare detailed rate analysis for materials, labour, installation, and other project costs.
2. Obtain, evaluate, and compare vendor quotations to ensure competitive procurement rates.
3. Prepare tender estimates, cost comparison statements, and techno-commercial proposals.
4. Verify BOQs, drawings, specifications, and quantities before finalizing project estimates.
5. Coordinate with design, purchase, planning, and execution teams to resolve technical and commercial discrepancies.
6. Monitor estimated costs against project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. Maintain estimation records, rate databases, vendor quotations, and project costing sheets.
8. Support tender submissions, budget preparation, and commercial negotiations.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 13 years of relevant skilled experience.
- Experience must be exclusively in residential construction, high-rise residential buildings, and multi-storey residential projects.
- Candidates with experience only in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or other unrelated sectors will not be considered.
- Proven experience in electrical estimation, costing, BOQ preparation, and tendering for large residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, installation practices, labour costing, and prevailing market rates.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drawings.
- Ability to independently handle complete electrical estimation and costing activities for large-scale residential projects.
