Role Description The Engineering Technical Lead at Blitz is a full time role based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility for remote work. This role is responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of core platform features, guiding engineering best practices, and ensuring high-quality, scalable software solutions. Day-to-day activities include hands-on coding, code reviews, architectural decision-making, and mentoring engineers across multiple projects.

The Engineering Technical

Lead collaborates closely with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and oversees automation, performance optimization,



and reliability improvements. The role also involves tracking project progress, managing technical risks, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.

Qualifications

- Strong software development and programming skills, with experience building scalable, high-availability systems.
- Proficiency in engineering management and project management to lead teams, coordinate delivery, and drive technical initiatives.
- Experience with automation, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation tools.
- Ability to define technical architectures, make sound design decisions, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, or high-transaction platforms is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and contributing to an inclusive, supportive team environment.
