Role Overview The Shop Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising fabrication activities in the workshop to ensure that production is executed accurately, efficiently, and within project timelines. This role ensures smooth coordination between engineering drawings, material availability, labour allocation, fabrication quality, and dispatch operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Study and review all technical and fabrication drawings before starting work
- Ensure drawings are transparent and fabrication-ready
- Clarify any drawing issues with the engineering team before fabrication begins
- Conduct technical meetings with fabrication teams before starting fabrication work
- Communicate fabrication details, tolerances, and finish requirements clearly
- Ensure all materials and outsourced items are arranged at least 2 days before fabrication
- Inform procurement or management immediately if any material is missing or delayed
- Conduct material inspection before fabrication, including outsourced items
- Verify material grade, thickness, finish, and specifications
- Allocate tasks to shop workers
- Monitor fabrication progress
- Ensure fabrication follows project timelines




- Coordinate between workers, supervisors, and engineering teams
- Perform final inspection of fabricated components before dispatch
- Ensure proper mirror, matte, and stain finishes for stainless steel
- Oversee grinding and paint finishes for mild steel
- Coordinate loading of finished materials
- Ensure correct items are dispatched as per project requirements
- Arrange vehicles 24 hours before dispatch
- Update daily progress reports for all ongoing projects
- Track fabrication status, delays, and completion progress
- Update daily labour data including attendance and overtime
- Submit labour reports before 10 AM the next day
- Plan overtime according to project priority and timeline
- Ensure efficient labour utilization during urgent project phases

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or any

fabrication/manufacturing related technical discipline. Relevant experience in fabrication or workshop operations will be preferred. Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹430,000.00 per year
