About this role As an Embedded Engineer at Armory, you will build and own the firmware that powers mission-critical defence systems.

You will operate at the intersection of hardware, RF systems, sensors, power electronics, and real-time software, ensuring our systems perform reliably in high-stakes, high-interference environments.

Must haves

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware using C/C++ for mission-critical systems

Build and optimise real-time applications on microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms using RTOS where required

Own hardware-software integration across RF modules, sensors, communication interfaces, and power systems

Implement and debug communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet

Lead board bring-up activities, subsystem validation, and system-level testing

Diagnose complex issues using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, JTAG, and other debugging tools

Improve performance, reliability, and stability in constrained and high-interference environments

Collaborate closely with RF, FPGA, mechanical,



and systems teams to ensure cohesive architecture

Take end-to-end ownership of firmware modules, from architecture and implementation to field validation

Bonus points for

Experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical systems

Exposure to RF systems or signal processing

Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (USB, PCIe, LVDS, etc.)

Experience with firmware security, secure boot, or OTA updates

Strong schematic-level debugging and EMI/EMC awareness
