Position: Electrical & Maintenance Technician

Reporting To: Maintenance Supervisor / Deputy Manager – Maintenance

Work Location: Assigned cluster of 4 outlets

1. Job Purpose

To independently handle electrical, equipment, plumbing, and general maintenance requirements of 4 assigned restaurant outlets, ensuring uninterrupted operations, safety, hygiene, and timely resolution of maintenance issues.

1. Roles & Responsibilities

- Outlet Visits: Visit all assigned outlets regularly, with a minimum target of 2 outlet visits per day, based on the maintenance schedule and operational requirements.
- Electrical Maintenance: Inspect and repair lighting, switches, sockets, wiring, MCBs, distribution boards, and other electrical installations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Attend to breakdowns and conduct preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, exhaust systems, and other restaurant equipment.
- General Maintenance: Handle minor plumbing, drainage, carpentry, civil, fixture, and other facility-related repairs.
- Breakdown Management: Respond promptly to maintenance complaints and minimize equipment downtime and disruption to restaurant operations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Prepare and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all 4 outlets and ensure timely completion.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow electrical safety procedures, fire safety requirements, and company maintenance standards. Ensure electrical work is performed safely and isolate power before repairs.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs, equipment servicing, and jobs requiring specialized expertise.
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain basic maintenance tools and spare parts, and report material requirements to the reporting manager.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain outlet-wise maintenance logs, daily visit reports, breakdown records, pending complaints, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Escalation:



Immediately report major breakdowns, recurring equipment failures, safety hazards, and expenses requiring approval.
- Coordination: Work closely with Restaurant Managers to understand maintenance issues and ensure timely closure of complaints.

1. Daily Work Expectations

- Visit a minimum of 2 assigned outlets per day.
- Attend to urgent breakdowns based on business priority.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Update the maintenance tracker with work completed and pending issues.
- Obtain confirmation from the Restaurant Manager after resolving complaints.
- Escalate unresolved issues with explicit reasons and expected closure timelines.

1. Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or a related technical trade preferred.
- Prior experience in electrical and general maintenance, preferably in QSRs, restaurants, hotels, retail, or commercial establishments.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and basic plumbing.
- Ability to identify faults, troubleshoot equipment, and complete routine maintenance independently.

1. Mandatory Requirements

- Two-wheeler is mandatory for travel between the 4 assigned outlets.
- Valid driving licence is mandatory.
- Two-wheeler travel allowance will be provided as per company policy.
- Willingness to travel between outlets and attend urgent maintenance requirements.
- Basic mobile-based reporting and documentation skills.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Daily outlet visit compliance.
- Timely closure of maintenance complaints.
- Reduction in recurring breakdowns and equipment downtime.
- Completion of preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Compliance with electrical and workplace safety standards.
- Accuracy of maintenance records and timely escalation of pending issues.
- Effective coordination with outlet teams and external vendors.

Note: The technician will be responsible for the overall electrical and maintenance requirements of the 4 assigned outlets and must ensure that all maintenance activities are completed safely, promptly, and with minimum disruption to restaurant operations.
