1. Drafting & Documentation

- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for electrical systems using AutoCAD/Revit as per project requirements.

- Develop detailed drawings for

- Lighting layouts

- Power layouts
- Cable routing and tray layouts
- Earthing and lightning protection layouts
- Fire alarm and ELV system layouts
- SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Update drawings based on engineer markups, design changes, and site feedback.
- Maintain drawing accuracy, layer management, and CAD standards across all deliverables.

2. Coordination & Integration

- Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and fire teams to ensure drawing compatibility.
- Incorporate builders work details such as:

- Conduits

- Sleeves

- Trench layouts

- Equipment foundation requirements
- Participate in internal coordination meetings to resolve drawing conflicts and ensure multidisciplinary alignment.

3. Quality Control & Standards

- Ensure all drawings comply with:

- Company CAD standards
- Project-specific drafting guidelines
- National and international codes (IS, IEC, NBC, NFPA – as applicable)
- Conduct selfchecks for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
- Maintain revision control and proper documentation of drawing updates.

4. Project Support





- Assist engineers in preparing BOQs, material take-offs, and as-built drawings.
- Support preparation of tender drawings, GFC drawings, and shop drawing reviews.
- Provide drawing support during site execution, including updates based on RFIs and site instructions.
- Maintain organized drawing folders, transmittals, and document logs.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

- Robust proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP (preferred).
- Understanding of electrical systems such as lighting, power, earthing, ELV, and fire alarm.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.

Soft Skills

- Attention to detail and high accuracy in drafting.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple drawings simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
- 8–10 years of experience in electrical drafting for buildings, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in consultancy or EPC environments is an advantage.
