Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities: The role of a Dev Ops Engineer at PAI is to design, deploy, enhance and scale our open source big data-based platform and to model, test, and capture performance bottlenecks and stability issues, at the application level, in a complex distributed environment. This role is part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

Key accountabilities Include

Providing continuous delivery solutions in a cloud environment and having experience with the core suite of tools used to manage different cloud providers like AWS, GCP etc.

Creating a well-informed cloud strategy and managing the adaption process.

Identifying, designing and deploying solutions to secure cloud usage, whether cloud-native or COTS solutions.

Working closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.

Identifying the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company .

Designing and developing and building security reference architecture for public, private and hybrid Cloud based systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providers.

Creating and executing comprehensive scripting for DevOps

Supporting and maintaining developed DevOps solution to meet agreed service level targets and quality objectives





Adopting and promoting the consistent use of new technologies within the solutions being developed.

Managing transition strategies and processes related to promoting production-ready systems.

Maintaining and updating repository of process documentations.

Reviewing current and future environment designs, executing initiatives to reduce failures and defects, and improving overall performance

Maintaining and ensuring the readiness and availability of disaster recovery environments.

Ensuring that work complies with the agreed development methodologies and processes .

Identifying risks associated with solution development projects and recommending means of mitigating these risks

Responding to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes that enhance the performance and quality of personal and team deliverables.

Working with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.

Designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging DevOps software for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.

Collaborating with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.

Skills Experience

Relevant work experience in building DevOps platform in AWS cloud.

Security,



configuration and deployment models for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and Function as a Service (FaaS).

Design and implementation of secure cloud architectures and designs that meet clients business requirements.

Network controls, Anti-Distributed Denial of Service (Anti-DDoS), Web Application Firewall (WAF), API Gateways and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

Service oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices.

Secure DevOps and secure software development.

Cloud security and governance tools, CASBs and server and network virtualization technologies such as SDN.

Threat modelling and design reviews of new technologies.

Professionals with relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software engineering role preferred.

Hands on experience in Big Data tools and technologies.

Hands on experience in Linux environment.

Experience in technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Functions, etc is preferred.

Ability to learn quickly in a quick-paced environment.

Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask.

Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and team management skills.

Knowledge

Hands on knowledge of Cloud Administration, preferably AWS

Sound knowledge in infrastructure-as-a-code approaches with Ansible or Terraform.

Hands-on knowledge of implementing multi-staged CI / CD with tools like Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Sonarqube, Nexus, JFrog,etc.

Knowledge in implementing DevOps and having inclination towards automation.

Good technical background in Cloud hosted services environment.
