DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & SIP/VoIP (Voice AI)

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to run the infrastructure behind real-time AI phone calls.
About InfoLabs Global
InfoLabs Global builds conversational and voice AI for enterprises and government organisations across India and the UAE. Our iCall platform runs AI voice agents that handle live phone calls in multiple languages, for banks, financial services, automotive, and public-sector clients.
We run our own telephony stack from end to end. Carrier SIP trunks come into our Asterisk middleware, which bridges calls into LiveKit, where our AI agents speak with callers in real time. We're looking for someone to own that entire path.
What you'll do
SIP & Telephony
- Integrate and manage SIP trunks with telecom carriers: IP whitelisting, authentication, codecs, DID/number routing
- Configure, run and harden Asterisk (PJSIP, dialplans, trunk failover, routing to LiveKit SIP)
- Troubleshoot call failures, one-way audio, NAT issues, jitter and packet loss
- Secure the VoIP edge with SIP firewalling, fail2ban, toll-fraud prevention, SRTP/TLS and rate limiting
- Coordinate directly with carrier engineering teams during setup and incidents
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure: VPCs, security groups, load balancers, DNS, IAM
- Deploy and operate self-hosted LiveKit across multiple regions, including TURN/coturn and TLS
- Run GPU servers for LLM, speech-to-text and text-to-speech workloads
- Containerise services and build CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or similar)
- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar
- Keep cloud costs under control as call volumes scale
Reliability & Monitoring
- Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana or similar)
- Track call quality and capacity: concurrent calls, MOS, latency, error rates
- Be the go-to person when calls drop or audio breaks in production
What we're looking for
Must have
- 4+ years in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on production experience with Asterisk
- Strong understanding of SIP and RTP: call flows, SDP, NAT traversal, codecs (G.711, Opus)
- Experience debugging with sngrep, tcpdump or Wireshark
- Experience integrating SIP trunks from telecom carriers
- Strong AWS skills (Azure is a plus)
- Solid Linux administration and networking (TCP/UDP, NAT, firewalls)
- Docker and CI/CD in production
Positive to have
- FreeSWITCH or Kamailio
- LiveKit, WebRTC or LiveKit SIP
- Experience with Indian carriers (Airtel, Tata Tele, Jio, Vodafone Idea) and DoT/TRAI compliance
- Exposure to UAE carriers (du, Etisalat)
- GPU server management (CUDA, NVIDIA drivers, container toolkit)
- Kubernetes in production
- Python or Bash scripting for automation
