Key Responsibilities

- Machine Design: Design and develop industrial machinery, mechanical assemblies, structures, and components using 3D CAD software.
- Engineering Drawings: Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, and detailed technical documentation.
- BOM Preparation: Develop and maintain complete Bills of Materials (BOMs), including component specifications and material requirements.
- Design Calculations: Perform mechanical design calculations, component selection, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
- Design Optimization: Improve existing machine designs for performance, reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Production Coordination: Work closely with fabrication, machining, assembly, and purchase teams to ensure smooth manufacturing.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Support machine trials,



identify mechanical design issues, and implement corrective improvements.
- Standardization: Develop standardized machine components, assemblies, and drawings to improve design efficiency.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, shafts, power transmission systems, structural design, and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience preparing manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Understanding of engineering tolerances, fits, and material selection.
- Ability to independently handle mechanical design projects from concept to production.

Preferred Industry Experience
- Plastic extrusion machinery manufacturing is strongly preferred, particularly pipe extrusion, blown film, hose extrusion, compounding, recycling, or downstream equipment.
